AIBU to think there is something rotten at the core of ITV?
What is being hidden?

Carolyn McCall is the problem.

She's not and never has been fit for purpose. She's one of these jack of all trades people, Keir Starmer is another, so is Adam Crozier, who flit between roles and establishments like seagulls and don't really do much of a job. Some of the mixed up roles these characters have are incongruous.

I heard Rebecca Ferguson spoke out quite a while ago and nothing was done.

I think it's been well known for years that shows like the X Factor are rigged to a certain extent.

Rebecca Ferguson has certainly been going on about it for what seems like decades tbf.

I vaguely remember Steve Brookstein saying things a few years ago. Not sure if that was just xfactor specific or about ITV in general.

She had multiple videos on tiktok telling her story. It was eye opening.

The whole lot of them are corrupt.

I'm glad people are speaking out now.

Yes, over the years there have been loads of contestants protesting afterwards about how they were treated, what was expected of them etc.
She certainly had a better chance of stardom than Matt Cardle.
But it does beg the question of would she be protesting (still) if she'd become as big as Harry Styles or Leona Lewis.
Probably not.
And maybe we're as much to blame for watching them and lapping up the fantasy. I'll hold my hand up and say I used to love what I saw as mindless Saturday telly. Now it leaves me cold. All of it.
