AIBU to hate maternity clothes?

I'm 5 months pregnant with my first baby and I'm struggling to find anything to wear.

I'm still fitting into some of my old clothes (just!) but wondering if it's just me who finds maternity clothes horribly boring? Everything I seem to see is either a wrap/tea dress with frills and fluttery sleeves or huge voluminous trousers.

My boobs have ballooned and I'm finding that most of the things I try on look either indecent or matronly.

Any recommendations?! I'm 5"6, usually about a size 10-12, usually wear boyfriend style jeans, t-shirts/shirts, trainers.

I hated maternity clothes too. I had a few pairs of maternity jeans and trousers, and then I went to Primark and H&M and bought some floaty cool tops in a size 18 and wore them for the rest of the pregnancies.

Just buy some over the bump leggings/jeans and size up in everything else. I lived in stretchy T-shirt dresses which I still wear now.

Go ebay/vinted, way more choice of styles as not constrained by trends. Get plain tshirt type dresses (maternity, they have extra fabric gathers across tummy to cover the bump comfortably).

Yanbu, they’re awful. Why do they think women would want to wear giant polka dots all of a sudden?

I just sized up in leggings and floaty tops/long shirts etc, only needed one pair of maternity jeans from H&M right at the end.

I found them too long. I'm only 5ft. I just bought tops 2 sizes too big and wore those.
