Something missing after house viewing

Ultimately my fault leaving valuables in plain sight when strangers come in to our house, but is there anything I can do? Not worth a lot, maybe few hundred quids worth of jewellery, but they have sentimental values and I am utterly devastated! Not insured. I usually wear them when I go out but I must've forgotten when I vacated the house for the viewing. Now I cannot find them. The viewer is going to come for 2nd viewing soon with a different agent (of the same office).

Is there anything I can do? If I tell EA, what would happen?

I’d be very sure I put them there and be also sure it wasn’t the ea.

did the potential buyer come with someone from the estate agents? I’d have thought it was more likely to be the person from the agency.

Someone I know sued the estate agent when something very expensive went missing from his flat. They are supposed to be watching the people they're showing around so how did they get the opportunity to steal stuff? Do you have any evidence that the jewellery was in your house?

I think so too.
