I kept getting a promotion on twitter for what looked like an extending baton, with film of a guy wanging it around like a martial artist & the advice that it's useful when you go camping.

I'm still mystified.

I accidentally clicked on a Temu banner ad a few weeks ago and now they crop up in my Facebook feed regularly. Looking at the weird shit that pops up on them is one of the high points of my day 😂

A personal favourite was little headlights to clip on your Crocs.

I don't know what it is but appeared in my ads. I did look on that new temu website

Theyre a bit of a culturally "in thing" so WISH et al are promoting tardigrade stuff endlessly. That and pillows shaped like lobster claws.
I guarantee he hasnt been searching anything out of the ordinary.

Idk why but some strange adverts seem to do the rounds and get pushed forward by algorithms , no matter what you're googling.

I used to get tons of adverts from Manscaping during Youtube videos, even though I was often listening to some kind of poetry documentary😅

A couple of years ago I also got tons of ads for a Jimmy Savile documentary that I couldn't skip through or avoid, to the point where I wrote a complaint to Discovery Plus because it was horrible and intrusive and pissed me off on behalf of his victims. It was bad enough he existed and did what he did without a ghoulish advert being shoved uncontrollably in everyone's face.

Anyway, rant over 😆I sympathize with you. I don't want adverts for gross things popping up either.
