Do you feel down after getting back from a holiday?

Whenever i go away, whether its a weekend ,or more i always get so down once home, is this normal?? I love being away, seeing places, making memories . My kids are now much older so at the point they wont want to come with mum and dad anymore, which makes it more bittersweet. I appreciate i am lucky to get away sometimes but feel low for a few days after, I suppose its coming back to the mundane routine of life.
Anyone else feeling this?

It's normal, the trick is to have another holiday already planned to look forward to!

It also helps to have a comfortable home as a base, and enough hobbies to take your mind of the mundane routine and the boring work/ chores we have to waste so much time on.

I do. I got home from holiday Saturday night and spent Sunday grumpy and feeling very meh. I miss the sunshine, not having to cook etc or think about anything other than what book shall i read today.
My 6yr old was really upset coming home, she'd had such a great time spending the week swimming, playing and resting.

Very much this... I always book my next trip as soon as I get home so that I have something to look forward to!
