Colleague of mine's partner had been offered a new job 150 miles away. Monday to Friday. And she claims that he's earning 7k a month. With an agency for a well known engineering firm He left school with no qualifications, and I don't think had many now, has a criminal record for drink driving, and he really sounds like a cock lodger. He's always booking holidays etc for them but I just find this completely unbelievable. Is 7k a month the norm for agency contracts?

I reckon it’s more likely he’s a billy bullshitter than anything dodgy.. or she might be the bullshitter? Either way it doesn’t really matter, I’ve got friends who’ve exaggerated their income, we just roll out eyes

Why are you so bothered? Whether she's lying or not, does it affect you or your ability to do your job?

massivesalads · 05/06/2023 22:33

Why do you care?

Toddlerteaplease · 05/06/2023 22:38

Because I care about my colleague, and don't want her to get hurt. Is that allowed?

She's not making it up, she's not the type.

Well, won't she soon find out whether he's bringing home 7k a month or not?
