AIBU? Book clear out

My other half has decided over the weekend that our 15 month old is too old for various books which I disagree with. Books in question include various Julia Donaldson books (Where's Zog, Stickman, Superworm etc) and Where's Mr/Mrs Digger/Astronaut etc. AIBU to think these books are still fine?

My 9.year old still reads these when she's tired /needs a comfort read!

My 9 year old is more than capable of reading "Lord of the Rings" trilogy by himself.
He did unearth "The Gruffalo" the other day and asked me to read it to him as it would make him happy 😊
He also read "Stanley the Park Keeper" by himself as he loves the artwork ❤

The books they love as babies and toddlers become the ones they can then read themselves as they're so familiar with the language and rhythm etc...quality picture books can be enjoyed by all ages. He's being weird, frankly!

My 16 and 14 year olds will occasionally dip into an old toddlerhood favourite! (Possum Magic, for any Aussies out there).

My 9 year old will still choose stickman and superworm if I read to him

He's also readying Harry Potter independently.

Let them be little ❤️
