Olbas oil...

So my DS, 4 is so congested it's unreal. Possibly sinus issues (GP appointment booked for the end of the week) but also terrible hayfever. Thanks for that gene, DH.

I've been liberally throwing olbas oil over his pjs and pillow for the past week or so, In the hope it would help. It does a little.

I've just done it ready for bedtime and as I've screwed the lid on I see it recommends 2-3 drops in a tissue..: I've had a glance up at the pillow and there's probably 45 drops.

That's fine; right?? My granny virtually bathed me and DB in it as kids and we're ok?

Tell me I'm not the only drastically overdosing their kid on decongestant?

It's fine Op I constantly use the stuff. Best advice I ever had was to put a hot water bottle beneath my neck and olbas in a mug of boiling water next to my bed. Works a treat:)

When DH had bunged up nose I gave him a bottle of Olbas Oil, (which he'd never used before) while I went to get the tissues.
In the seconds I turned my back he put the bottle to his nose and inhaled it!!!!
It took me hours to peel him off the ceiling.........

Karvol!!! Blast from the past!

A quick look on Amazon tells me it's now called klearvol and it available in a spray. Result.

I do have fond memories of my mum safety pinning a Karvol soaked hanky to my headboard though, and finding the snipped off tops of the capsules all over my bedroom floor 🤣🤣🤣

False alarm, the spray is a sleep spray rather than a decongestant.

Capsules it is.

Have any of you used po ho from A.vogel? You really do only need 2 drops of that.
