can anyone kindly recommend a specialist in either - autism or OCD - would be much appreciated

Sorry - don't have a recommendation myself. But I think anyone who does is likely to need more info:

What sort of specialist? Psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist/counsellor? Are you looking for diagnosis or for ongoing counselling and support?

What age is this for - adult, child, adolescent?

You can probably find someone who specialises in both OCD and autism, if that would be helpful; they often co-occur.

BACP has a register of professionals which you can search.
