Do 20 month olds go through a sleep regression?

Posting here for traffic as I’m at a loss with my little one’s bedtime

she’s not slept consistently since the clocks went back I would say where previously she would go down pretty well most of the time
now she’s screaming unless I’m in the room with her and eventually goes off to sleep around 9pm where previously it was 7/7:30

I’ve put up a black out blind in her room and am making sure she’s not too warm at night

our usual bedtime routine obviously isn’t working anymore so I wondered if anyone has any tips?

she just does not want to go in her cot, she gets hysterical when I go to leave the room and she only gets worse so leaving her to ‘cry it out’ isn’t an option
she tells me she wants a book or to go ‘in there’ into another room but I think she’s just delaying bed time
ive tried adjusting nap times in the day but I’ve noticed she is going through quite a clingy stage with me especially when other people are around

its like she wants me there but she doesn’t want to cuddle or anything

is this just a case of waiting it out and it will pass?

This is a peak age for separation anxiety and completely normal, but hard work. She needs to know you are there, and the quickest way to sort it is reassurance. You may need to stay until she drops off, but it won't be forever. Took 6 weeks with my eldest and then she was fine again.
