Good strawberries bad strawberries

AIBU to ask those of you who've bought strawberries in a UK supermarket in the last few days whether they are they tasty yet? Do they actually taste like proper summer strawberries rather than the pathetic, sour excuse for a strawberry you get out of season?

If they are British strawberries they are good. I only buy British and I started eating them about 2 weeks ago. Absolutely delicious

I had lovely Scottish strawberries from the local garden centre yesterday.

M&S and Waitrose British are fab

You need to do the sniff test. You can get tasteless strawberries even in season if it's a tasteless variety. Had really nice one's yesterday.

Tesco British ones are pretty good at the moment!

I always choose Scottish strawberries if I can. Bought some earlier, they are sweet and lovely.

Ours are still very green, lots of them and getting big but not a hint of a blush yet.

I only buy British strawberries. We had some last night......delicious.

I bought two massive punnets from lidl this morning and they are sensational. Bought some from Marks last night and they were dreadful.
