Need to pick tiles before by tomorrow morning

Builder is ordering tiles tomorrow and I cannot make my mind up. Stomach is in knots. Selling the house and don't want to knock value off.

Don't LOVE the marble effect look anymore but leaning towards it as it means not having to worry about matching walls with floors.

Thoughts?? I'm scared the marble fad is over and is looking dated?

Everything is grey now!

Like the tiles in the images attached also. Can definitely dress the bathroom with posh looking accessories for a bit of glam.

The hours I've wasted in all the big shops and I'm still none the wiser.

Everything is not grey now unless you choose grey! Odd thing to say. I'm doing a bathroom and just tick white and blue when I'm looking at tiles. Grey does not appear

That second one is lovely! Neutral, inoffensive and easy to decorate how you'd like.

I wouldn't go for marble unless it's actual marble tbh! And book matching it is so hard.

These are the nicest ones so far

strawberry2017 · 04/06/2023 17:51

I don't like either personally. I prefer something plainer

StephanieSuperpowers · 04/06/2023 17:53

The main thing is, make them matt.

Tileda · 04/06/2023 17:53
  1. Would you do this tile on floor and walls?
  1. Is doing tile literally everywhere OK? Noticed people like to break up with just painted walls.
  1. We are doing downstairs cloakroom. I like the idea of matching but partner thinks it looks like we gave up.

Thanks for input.

I personally think tile everywhere looks too busy,, especailly with a patterned tile. It's also much more expensive, both in tiles and tilling.

Matching tiles in the cloack room I think is fine and gives consistency.

fancreek · 04/06/2023 17:58

I wouldn't rile everywhere if you're selling - is very expensive

MajesticWhine · 04/06/2023 17:58

I think @strawberry2017 meant not liking the first two in your OP but I might be wrong.

Yes match the downstairs cloakroom - it makes sense.
You have posted 5 pics so far. My favourite is number 4.

Tileda · 04/06/2023 18:01

Insurance is paying, so luckily price is not a major factor. I agree that it looks very busy there being tile everywhere.

4 is also my favourite.

Thanks all.

Sorry yes I meant the first 2 sorry to confuse! X

Iwantmyoldnameback · 04/06/2023 18:02

I wouldn't tile to sell Id get those shiny panel things.

ActDottie · 04/06/2023 18:05

I’d be put off a house with a marble bathroom! I find it a bit tacky unless it’s in some mansion.

Go for something neutral so not to put potential buyers off.

Tileda · 04/06/2023 18:06

So if white is the way to go, wdyt about these?

Do like when they oriented vertically. Maybe a different pattern on wall with bath? Seems a tiny bit like an old school hospital but I'm beyond caring at this point!

Like this from pinterest. We have a less beautiful L shaped shower/bath so def would not look as elegant.

I prefer subtle marble

Nordicrain · 04/06/2023 18:13

I wouldn't go for a brick pattern, stacked looks less dated.

GoodChat · 04/06/2023 18:15

Our bathroom is grey but I like it - these tiles come in various shades though to give you an idea of options

Ignore the fact it needs a good clean Grin

I think it will look dated quick.

We recently did our bathrooms and did a vertically stacked rectangular tile. Similar to this:
https://www.decorpad.com/photo.htm?photoId=188389

We went for white in both bathrooms, with a moss green backwall in the shower in the ensuite.

Do this, or horizontal. Can't go wrong with crisp white.

The marble looks the opposite of posh to me.

HomeB · 04/06/2023 18:20

I hate grey and white. Stone colours with a feature tile behind the bath would be better.

Mooserp · 04/06/2023 18:21

What size is the bathroom? And how big is the house / what will be your asking price?

God no. Herringbone would make me reject the house.

Just go as plain as possible.
