Yanbu - yes they do
Yabu - no they don't
It's not really a aibu, I just put that in to enable a vote.
My kids share a room on holiday, I just wonder a little if this is still OK? I think it is.

I had the number of children I can afford. It's not rocket science

What a silly comment.

It’s not rocket science to understand that, while I can perfectly well afford to bring up my three kids, my holiday budget doesn’t stretch to four bedroom villas, or 4 hotel rooms on each and every trip. Therefore, if my kids want to come on holiday, they’ll need to share. They have a choice - they can always stay home.

Only my Dd is a teen (14), my Ds is a bit younger (9). They have been sharing so far mostly - or we’ve all three shared a larger room if it’s a hotel, but I keep thinking it’s time for separate rooms.

Only thing is it’s so expensive!

They just go to sleep in there on holidays so there’s not actual problems as such, just a bit of an annoyance for a teen to share with a younger sibling.

On one occasion I shared a twin room with my Ds, and dd had another smaller room in self catering accommodation (my Mum was also with us and had a third room) but that was when dd was studying whilst we were away.

I remember hating sharing with my two younger dbs when we were on holiday and I was 13, but I think it was more the fact there were two of them being noisy etc (and the room was quite small) than that they were boys.

From when I was 14 my parents did get me a separate room - I think the reason we all shared when I was 13 was that it was a more expensive holiday!

Yes exactly. And if people can afford to take 2 dc to Greece and have them share a room then rock on I say.

Mine do (19 and 17). They are fine with it.

Recently stayed in a one bed apartment with my two dc 12&13years old. One of each sex.
DD slept with me in the bed.
Ds slept one the large sofa bed with his dad.

I think this is the way forward for us.
