JAMES NORTON - the most talented and NICEST young actor?

I just met James Norton outside the Harold Pinter Theatre where he was signing autographs and talking to fans after his show. I could not believe how incredibly nice and talkative he was with everyone. He was coming up to everyone and spending ages having a chat with every fan. Really being incredibly nice and chatty despite it being nearly midnight and him having had to go through 4 hours of the gruelling performance in A Little Life. I have never seen any "big" celebrity be this nice to fans.

Aside from that, how unbelievably talented is this man?! From Gantchester, McMafia, Happy Valley and his stage performance- al completely different characters but absolutely brilliantly played. And of course he's beautiful 😍 (and isn't he a Cambridge graduate?).

I'm in love 😻 (in a crazy stalkerish way of course 😂)

I really want to see this play! The book was fantastic- was it good??

It depends... If you're like me and only went to see the play to see James Norton naked (🤣) and don't care that its subject-matter is absolutely horrible and that it's basically 4 hours of misery porn, you will enjoy it.👍 The performances (especially JN's) are superb. It's based on a really terrible (in my opinion) book though.

But don't watch it if you're very sensitive (maybe read what it's about before you watch 4 hours of torture 🙈).

Sorry ignore me - I missed the part where you said you read the book! Then you will like the play 😃

Yes go.
BTW, if you go at around 9am for the box office opening at 10, they have cheap day tickets for £10, I met a guy who did that.
They are standing tickets but it's a massive saving.
I bought mine way back at Christmas and got it for £25

I'm actually in London for a week in July, (seeing Maroon 5, Brokeback Mountain, Macbeth and Billy Joel) and might go along to The Harold Pinter to meet JN.

Is anyone going to see the cinema screening of the play?? I have a feeling they won’t show the nudity on the screen? Not sure if it’s allowed??

Willmafrockfit · 08/08/2023 07:07

ys he was excellent as Stephen Ward

TheaPrentice · 08/08/2023 07:12

Yes, he is a very compelling actor. Super talented. I couldn't believe it when I saw him being interviewed. His voice and demeanour is the polar opposite to his Tommy Lee Royce character. And to play the character he is now, night after night. Amazing!

Watch Nowhere Special . He is amazing. It is such an emotional film Sad

Iloveacuppatea · 08/08/2023 16:59

Is that still in Peckham? I wasn’t sure if he had moved to a different area of London x

Ohh I wanted to see it, but can't find it for free anywhere 😬

His range as an actor is incredible! He was also superb as the posh rich Alex in McMafia and as the lovely tormented (a bit womanising) priest in Granchester. All these characters are complete worlds apart from each other and from his Tommy Lee Royce or Jude St Claire personas. It's quite incredible how he can be so compelling in all of them.

I think he still lives in Peckham. I must say, I have never been to his house (we're not at THAT stage of our relationship yet 🤣)

I think they'll show it. Surely there is nudity in many films (and it's the only reason this play has been so popular 😉)

I hated the book too so it would never have occurred to me to give the play a go - I might now!

I actually stopped reading it about 60 pages from the end because I was so fed up with it and decided I didn’t want to give any more of my time to it 😆

Next James Bond?

This 👆

I don't have a crush on him, but he is a fine actor and I think he'd make an excellent Bond.

The book is terrible (in my opinion). I couldn't get through it either. The plot and all the characters are totally ridiculous and I couldn't even feel sorry for saintly (and of course brilliant 🙄) Jude because he and his friends got on my nerves so much 😬 Nothing about it was even remotely realistic and the writing itself was just awful.

Having said all that, the play is worth watching for the brilliant James Norton and the whole cast are very good. Luke Thomson as Willem is also very good (and also very lovely to chat to in person 😊 ).

Iloveacuppatea · 08/08/2023 20:48

I'm sure he has moved, he bought a house with his woman 😘😘🤦‍♀️ not sure if it is still in Peckham though. Someone said her ? Son lived by him so was just wondering. Not that I’m obsessed or anything! 🤣x
