Firstly I looked for a family section but only found family planning so I’m aware this may not be the correct place.
My mother in law and her sisters I get on fine on the surface but it’s very false from us both to keep things nice for everyone. We just don’t click, we are very different people and would never have any sort of friendship if we were to meet and not be family.
Im quite introverted/shy, she is extremely loud, swears constantly (for example her family member called me a C* first time I met everyone and said it was a term of affection!) always gossiping about other family members (which I find very uncomfortable) and can be quite cruel (making fun of people with disabilities). I don’t know how to keep tolerating her, I make an effort and invite her round regularly but she’s driving me batty and is becoming a bit more forceful about wanting to see us more .
