Changed my name for this !!
Scenario is
Walking your dog , for some reason he stops to perch at the end of someone's front drive and have a poo.
I pick it up with my poo bags( triple bagged ) but unfortunately some of it is sloppy
In this scenario would you
A) scoop up best you can and leave the yellow remnant that's sunk into the pathway

b) pick it up best you can and cover it with a dusting of mud and leaves / twigs / grass whatever you can get nearby

C) scoop what you can and leg it

D) knock at the house , apologise too much and see what they suggest to the sloppy stain you've left behind

To me it's still their drive way as they walk down their path and cross the street pavement to get to the kerbside where the cars would be parked

He's only a whippet but it was enough to make me panic about the stain left behind

It's a non-incident OP. Shit happens, literally in this case, you cleaned it up as best you could, no need to worry further. The outdoors isn't a nice clean sterile environment at the best of times, a small smear from a bagged poo is not worth the headspace.

Sounds like you were very considerate, OP. I wouldn't worry about it any more than you already have done.

Pick it up and put some leaves over the remainder. I’m a big fan of the covered poop in safe rural locations as it saves plastic and just biodegrades.

@Lockheart & @ArabeIIaScott thank you

@WhimHoff my dog usually finds the fox variety of that in the woods ha ha

If it were my house, I'd hope you would apologize and come back later to wash it away.

Ot couldn’t be helped in this situation but you should have come back to wash it properly.
