I've seen and heard both.
Obviously getting someone a job at 18 or 19 with exploitative intentions is sleazy in the extreme. 15 is underage and deeply concerning, but 12 is deep into paedo territory.

The question I think is did he meet the boy at 12/15 and then keep In touch with him, and then help him apply for a job at 18? OR did he meet the boy when 12/15 and then have no contact with him whatsoever before the boy applied for the job independently and without help from Schofield?

If the latter then still bad because he was married and having sex with a boy younger than his own DD's. If the former then the police should be investigating because in that scenario it would appear to be grooming. If Schofield helped him get the job by setting up an interview etc. then that looks like grooming with intent to progressing to sexual relationship.

Schofield repulses me. Not quite as bad as Saville but on the way there. I think the police need to investigate if there were other victims or this was a one off.

It’s difficult to think of anything better to do with one’s time than protecting children from predators, and raising awareness as op is doing falls into that category.

I don’t Think it’s homophobia, the public are just much more accepting of old men being attracted to young women. And if you look at history and still in some cultures it was really common for women to be much younger (possibly partly due to child bearing potential). It’s pretty disgusting with either sex tbh, these are children under 18 or very young adults with people old enough to be their grandparent and with a total mismatch of power.

Idk why Schofield thought what he did was okay just because he waited until the CHILD turned 18. He was attracted to a little boy, people don't magically change phsyically when they turn 18. Schofield will have been having thoughts about this kid, he just thought he found a loophole by waiting for his 18th birthday.

It's creepy as fuck. I think there's more to come. And I think it's interesting that this has been made into such a big deal. I suspect people know enough to bring him down properly (not just these hints and rumours based on some old photos. I mean proper evidence of wrong doing). It wouldn't have been such a big deal of the lad had started on this morning as an 18yo, Phil met him for the first time and at that point the affair started. Grim, perhaps, but no suggestion of any wrongdoing. But that's not what happened is it?

I have a thirteen year old boy which is why I can tell the difference between a paedo and a nonce. It's not a hard skill. Both are bad, but one is worse.
