To give her £50?

My friend is dropping in to look after my cat while I'm away for 7 days. This will be putting out dry food (has always refused wet or a mix) topping up/changing water and litter tray. She won't have to go every day as can go one day and set feeders for the next day so probably 3 or 4 visits. My cat is very solitary, pretty antisocial most of the time 😂 and doesn't mind being on his own for a day.
She lives a 25 minute walk away and doesn't drive but her flatmate might give her a lift some days.
I just don't know how much to pay her. When we first made the arrangement it was by text and I said I'd pay her for it but she didn't reply to that bit of my message. More recently I messaged her to make sure she was still okay to do it and said again how I'd pay her but she didn't respond to that part.
She has animals of her own so isn't fussed about the litter tray.
Would 50 be enough? How much would you give in this situation?

If she comes 4 times then that works out at £10.50 per visit. That sounds fair to me. We use professional cat feeders and pay £12 per visit.

Sorry £12.50 per visit. I'm not awake yet.

I think that if it’s £50 then you should also leave a bottle of something and some chocolates on the side. However, I’d put the money in her account before you go so she doesn’t think she’s only getting the wine etc as payment.

Plus she may want to offer her flatware some petrol money.

FlatMATE not flat ware !! Must put on my reading glasses!

I think £50 and something sweet from your holiday sounds fair. Anything less I think would be unreasonable given then it's an hour round trip.

“Really appreciate you caring for my cat whilst away. Could you let me know how much I can pay you so I will ensure I sort before I leave x”

I would do 50-60£ plus a nice box of chocolates and a thank you card x
