Half term here and dh and I have both got the day off tomorrow. Ds10 and toddler dd home as well. The weather looks set to be lovely.
I've suggested getting in the car and going somewhere new. Asked if either of them have any suggestions. Met with grunts and general disinterest. This isn't new. Whenever I suggest days out or holidays dh just has a general lack of enthusiasm. Will come along if it's all planned out but never ever suggests anything himself. Ds enjoys it when he's there but would be just as happy gawping at his phone all day.
To be honest I'm fed up. There's nothing to look forward to in life. No holidays booked, days out are like pulling teeth. I work, clean, look after the dc, go to bed and get minimal sleep due to toddler and then rinse repeat. It's making me really miserable.
Do I even bother trying to incite some enthusiasm in them or just sack it off and go out myself with dd? I always end up feeling like this in the school holidays because everyone else seems to be doing stuff and yet my family are completely uninterested in everything.
