Wwyd job?

I currently work 50/50 in two jobs but in one organisation. One is the charity arm, the other is the more commercial side.
I’ve been offered full time for the charity side and if I don’t take it, someone else will therefore I’ll be only on 2.5 days for the commercial side. The charity side is a temp contract so it’s all fair.
i don’t want to take it, I love the other side more, I’m really happy there but I’m not sure they’ll make that one full time (there is talk but not much movement going on)
My decision will be forced when they advertise the charity full time position and I’ll probably have to go for it, but that means saying goodbye to the first job I’ve genuinely loved in so long.
The alternative is to work 2.5 days a week in the job I love, but I can’t really put that burden on us financially. But also I don’t feel I can put my unhappiness on us either.
I’m so confused as to what to do, head v heart etc 😞
I’ve got to decide by Friday and it’s all consuming me.
Just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation… for context our kids are older, like flying the nest older so no issue ft v pt it really only comes down to money. We’d be able to pay the bills but not much left over, but I just don’t want to be unhappy again. It really is a lose lose situation for me at the moment.

Can't you take the 2.5 days job you love, and look for another PT role to fill the rest of the week?

Yes I would have to. The role requires me to be very flexible which would make things challenging but I would definitely have to find something else.

I was going to suggest 2.5 days elsewhere, but if the role requires you to be flexible then that's not really going to be doable. I think you have no choice but to take the charity one if it comes down to money.
