I haven't really followed this schofield story much but just read a bit of what eamon Holmes has said and it comes across as he knew all about the affair all along and he is now slating Phil and Holly and everyone else, it also comes across as a bitter campaign and in these days of #bekind and all this bullying stuff and Caroline flack etc think he should really shut up now he sounds like a right bitch and think perhaps they should cancel the lot of them if it was that bad why didn't he come out with it in public before why now. Don't know true story or really care but is it necessary to say (if he did actually say it I guess this is in the media) holly would never have been friends with Alison implying Alison wasn't good enough to be Holly's friend I mean it's all a load of playground style nonsense really isn't it. Anyway that's what I think.

I think bloody everyone does, it’s toxic and gross, and the only person I feel sorry for is the young chap caught up in this.

JaneJeffer · 31/05/2023 00:12

Ok

OhhhhhhhhBiscuits · 31/05/2023 00:13

Is it bullying to out a groomer though? I don't think so. Holly and Phillip have for a long time been known to not be very kind themselves, long before these interviews have come out.

Greenshake · 31/05/2023 00:16

The fact you admit you don’t know or “really care” about the true story is the most concerning part of your post.

Womencanlift · 31/05/2023 00:22

So you don’t know the story but think he is bitter?

Maybe if you had been following the full story (and not just the last week but the last three years that it’s been going on for) then you would know what he was talking about and realise that he came across factual, calm and reasoned even when Dan was trying so hard to get a reaction from him

I don’t have time for people who just throw in #bekind. That is such an over used phrase and is now just a way to shut people up.

WhyCantYourPartnerDoIt · 31/05/2023 00:30

Do you think MN is making money off every fucking PS thread? It's worse than fucking Megan/Harry right now.

Frenulumetta · 31/05/2023 00:37

Why is it concerning that I haven't really followed the story and don't really care about these people that I don't know when there are wars poverty and disasters in the world?! It is more concerning that you find it concerning to be honest. Womancanlift are you married to him? I just read a bit of what eamon wrote and thinking he was a nice person previously was a bit shocked by the mean girls way that it comes across and if he had any sense he would stop as it is probably doing him and his career more harm than good. I am not using #bekind I am saying in these days of hashtag be kind famous people need to be careful what they say and how they say it as it will come back to bite them. I am not interested in what has gone on the last 3 years in Philip schofield holly Alison or eamon's lives I am commenting on something I read today and how it is interpreted.

He didn’t put him though, did he? He’s just now saying oh we all knew! Why didn’t you say something then?

Frenulumetta · 31/05/2023 00:42

Yeah I did think perhaps there might be overload of this subject but couldn't actually find a thread to post on so started this one instead.

Eamonn Holmes has always been an awful prick. My dad used to work with him occasionally back in the 80s and apparently everyone in his team absolutely hated him. That doesn't negate the fact that he is right about Schofield. It appears several people (including Eamonn's wife Ruth) tried to whistle-blow about this affair with a barely legal teenager, but nothing was done. After Saville, its obscene that ITV bosses turned a blind eye as they didn't want to kill the golden goose. If the people on tattle knew about all this since 2020, I'm quite sure everyone else at ITV did too! Eamonn is right, heads should be rolling over this.

TomatoesAndPeaches · 31/05/2023 01:23

Lots and lots of people knew about him being a groomer but every single thread on here got deleted, like this one will too…

He is a nasty ‘man’

Saschka · 31/05/2023 01:32

It is totally possible for PS to be a groomer, and also for Eamonn to be coming across as jealous and bitter (which he is, the amount he is going on about it). The two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

AlwaysMissingHome · 31/05/2023 01:39

No, I think he should keep talking. Good for him. I hope more people come out and tell what they know as well.

I’m suspicious of those people that want to shut others up when they’re outing groomers and abusers.

You don’t have to listen.

If groomers and abusers kill themselves because they’re called out, I have no fucks to give. They don’t care about their victims, only themselves. Anyone that states #bekind bollocks about this can fuck off.
