Feeling crap, have bloody phlegm coming from the bit where my nose joins my throat but not very, very ill iyswim. Dss is around to do essential cooking and minding of dd. I do have bits of work I could be doing but just don't feel like it.
Not so much AIBU more Can I Have Permission To (skive that it)?

Although I think that if someone is voluntarily watching Rosemary and Thyme they probably are actually ill?

I was in bed until 12 today because I have laryngitis and a cough - am not feeling really ill but on the other hand this has been dragging on for a couple of weeks now and want to try to get 100%

Also had a few glasses of wine last night. Feel slighty guility about that!

Permission granted

Actually I think what you're doing is really sensible, otherwise feeling crap can just extend to worse things. I have had a stupidly horrible crazy time over the last 6 weeks, starting with ds being ill at the very time I just HAD to be in work to induct a new staff member (and no there IS no-one else but me in the office to do this!) and GPs were ill so getting ds looked after was stress all round...then I went down with the virus and looking after ds as well as working when ill was just stupid. Ended up with a really distressing and nasty ear infection.

So I don't call this skiving I think it's sensible to rest up when you can

Is that enough permission there for you?

Yes the name does conjure up an image of an ever-so-strapping country gel, doesn't it!
