Discussing Cost of living crisis
husband thinks that supermarkets would think twice about their pricing structure if we as a whole country ‘ ate
from the freezer’ and ‘refrained from entering all supermarkets for four days’
As he thinks the amount of food that will go out of date and the amount of money spent on staffing will be a massive blow to their wallets
I on the other hand think many people don’t have stock to live off for four days and the supermarket wouldn’t care two hoots as they have us over a barrel
who’s unreasonable ! 🤪

I've been running down freezer and cupboard supplies before doing a shop ....before COLC I would just top up and never use half the stuff

He may have a good point

A countrywide boycott could be effective.

I could do with the shops banning ME for 4 days to use up the stuff we have here. I have a terrible addiction to food shopping.

😂 where’s the solidarity here ?! I hear you…. But I’m pushing my point here by saying. Would it change anything long term?

And we could still use markets

Give our money elsewhere

How would we know what it would or wouldn't change unless it happened?

The other places would soon sell out I think, they don't have the supply chains of the major supermarkets.

Oh that’s a good idea ! Didn’t think about those shops !

Then when the 4 day boycott is up we could all go in and buy all the reduced stock and re fill our freezers and fridges..... and start again 😆

Ha ha I did say to him that everyone would be clucking for the favourite items and stock up …. A bit like bank holiday on steroids 🤣
