Reading through the DM article on the interview some key bits worth noting:
Holmes, a former This Morning presenter accused ITV of a 'total cover up' over the affair, claiming that 'those in authority had to know' about the secret relationship as the man would be ferried between Phil's flat and studios in taxis 'paid for by ITV'.
The GB News presenter said Schofield, 61, and the young man would enjoy Thursday 'playtime' after work.
AND
Holmes said: 'Usually on a Friday morning, because Thursday was playtime when he and Phillip would hit the town and then he obviously stayed overnight. There are records to show that he was brought in the next day separately in cars paid for by ITV.'
AND
All you who no one listened to. I'm here for you.'
He also added that he was 'just telling the truth in the face of a coercive controller'.
It is unclear who exactly he was referring to as a 'coercive controller'.
AND
Asked about the young man, he said: 'Ruth and I particularly looked after him, he never once talked to us about any relationship, but we knew he was in a bad way and he was in a bad way fragilely.
^^
'There’s an incredible duty of care that needs to go towards that young man.'
AND
When asked about Schofield's suggestion of a vendetta against him, Holmes said: 'My response is he's either deluded or he's lying, and he has admitted he tells lies and he tells a lot of lies.
'And in life, I've always had this belief that a lie unchallenged becomes the truth. So, although I don't want to stand up to Schofield constantly pointing out where he's lying, I feel I have to.
'I often say this to Ruth, maybe he believes all this stuff, maybe he did not see what went on actually because there's something wrong with him. But he is the chief narcissist, he is the complete and utter dyed-in-the-wool narcissist, everything is about him.
AND
When Schofield announced he was living (sic), Willoughby wrote on Instagram that 'the couch will seem so empty without him'.
But Holmes blasted this statement, adding: 'She should be dancing on the couch, because that's what she was looking for forever.'
He went on to brand both Willoughby and Schofield for being 'rude'.
He said: 'This nonsense that he wrote today about toxicity, but it's a happy place and whatever, Holy God, what planet does this man live on?
'He created an atmosphere where people hated him, that people would put avoid them in the corridor, he didn't look at anybody, he didn't know anybody's name.
'Holly doesn't know people’s names, either. This is legendary within the production teams, that how distant they are and how they just don't care.'
He also told how his wife Ruth Langsford is still in touch with Phil's ex-lover, who he described as a 'lovely fella', but 'life is tough' for him.
AND Elsewhere
The channel issued a statement on Saturday saying an inquiry had taken place and that no evidence of the 'on-off' fling was found, despite rumours swirling around the This Morning set.
However, ITV is refusing to reveal further details of the investigation, such as whether it was conducted externally or by an independent party, or when exactly it took place.
That stands in contrast to the full and robust inquiry the broadcaster says it carried out into Dr Ranj Singh's accusations that This Morning has a 'toxic' culture of bullying and discrimination.
The NHS medic says he was 'managed out' of his role after raising concerns with ITV top brass.
Responding to his statement, which he posted on Sunday night, an ITV spokesman said: 'At ITV we are fully committed to providing every opportunity for anyone who works with us to raise any concern or comments...
'Following a complaint made by Dr Ranj, we appointed an external and independent adviser to carry out a review.
'This external review found no evidence of bullying or discrimination.'

Phillip Schofield's status as an ambassador for the Prince's Trust seems to have gone the same way as his ITV employment.
Founded by Prince Charles in 1976 to help disadvantaged people under 30 in the UK, the charity has a long list of celeb 'ambassadors'.
Its website features a group picture with Schofield standing close to Charles.
Curiously, Schofield's own website has cut any reference to this ambassadorship, although it earlier announced his interest in 'supporting vulnerable young people in the UK'.
