To feel sick?

I know im not be unreasonable but I just had to get this off my chest.

Scrolling through TikTok and 2 little girls about 8 years old pop up, the account only has a few videos all uploaded across today.

A man has commented ‘mm, TikTok is testing me today’
As adults, we know what he means. It’s disgusting. He has a faceless profile with no identifying things other than possibly works on a railway crew in London. But couldn’t narrow it down to the individual.

Ive reported the account but who knows how long it’ll be until the report is reviewed. Meanwhile there’s already at least one man watching the videos these kids have uploaded and commenting on it. Their parents have probably watched them all day making little videos thinking it’s harmless fun.

I genuinely feel sick and it must happen all the time.

Ugh, no you're obv not being unreasonable. You did the right thing to report etc, please try and take this off your mind. X

OurChristmasMiracle · 28/05/2023 20:14

Yes it is disgusting and sickening. However parents should also be ensuring that their child is safe online and this includes exposure to such persons.

RaininSummer · 28/05/2023 20:23

I can't believe people allow young children to film themselves and put it online. Unfortunately perverts will always be perverts so we shouldn't put it on a plate for them.

I agree but I know how judging parents goes down on this site.

Honestly I’ve been keeping an eye on their profile to see if any other men comment and they’ve posted about 20 short videos since my post. Laying out outfits to try on, little denim skirts with sports bra/crop tops. If only their parents knew how easy and common it is that things can be screenshot and put onto all sorts of dark websites. I’ve researched about this a lot and it’s unbelievably common. Thousands upon thousands of images of children that are seemingly innocent to us but not to these creeps

Can you comment on it to let them know dirty pervs are watching

Creamyoda · 28/05/2023 20:31

There are plenty of disgusting perverts and paedophiles who search particular hashtags or like and comment certain videos to ensure more of the same appear in their FYP. I know it's hard in today's world but making sure children don't post content which is accessible to anyone (anyone can message them as well which is scary) is really important. I know some parents are naieve or think people shouldn't be inappropriate and that the content is fine, but sadly that's not the way of the world. Until children are old enough to make an informed decision taking account of different factors then parents should do what they reasonably can to protect their children online.

EggInANest · 28/05/2023 20:32

Deeply disturbing.

But even without the perverts / paedophiles , why are we encouraging our children to make public performances of their lives? Their clothing choices? Be little fashionistas as young children?

But yes, the predatory men are sickening.

steff13 · 28/05/2023 20:35

I'm not super familiar with TikTok, can you report both the man's account and the kids' account?

Yes I did that when I saw it and also suggested the girls but the account on private.

I don’t use TikTok but found NSPCC guide within a few minutes. The videos are harmless fun, TikTok is not, but it looks like it could be safer. If OP doesn’t know the parents and the man obviously doesn’t the privacy is wrong.

The men doing this are horrible. At the same time there is some responsibility on parents to check Apps, put in settings or decide the app is not suitable. Then make their own passwords complicated so that children can’t guess and change them.

I’m 26, so I spent my teenage years on all sorts of websites being exposed to things that my parents didn’t have a clue about yet. Looking back some of the stuff was horrific.

But that was over 10 years ago. Most parents have smart phones and all sorts of devices now. They should know better. Children really shouldn’t have access to devices unless supervised.

I recommend people have a look at riadaaraes on TikTok. She makes videos about the ways children are exploited on TikTok.

Bargellobitch · 28/05/2023 20:43

Awful. I think this shows why people should not let their young children on social media and also tbh there are similar issues with posting pics of your own children. Especially in swim suits etc. It's horrible to think about but unfortunately the people thinking like that are out there.

SchoolTripDrama · 28/05/2023 20:43

🤢 This neatly made me cry, I have an 8yr old DD ☹️

Unfortunately TikTok will say 'No violations found' as they do to EVERY report. I've reported things I wish I'd never seen. Things which have scarred me, yet they've said there's no violation. TikTok's lack of moderation is VILE

Revoltingrhyme · 28/05/2023 20:48

The little girl Totu on TikTok breaks my heart. The child looks absolutely traumatised all the time. They make her open her mouth for the camera and then give her food once she’s done it. Grown men have travelled to the orphanage she is at to visit her. Clearly trafficked. That poor baby breaks my heart. And the woman who works in the orphanage still makes these videos so that people send gifts. But it’s clearly paedophiles doing it.

Just an update. No violations found however the account is now gone

That is horrific.

I must be naive, because I'm shocked he was so open about basically being a paedophile. What the fuck.

ItsAllGoneToHellAgain · 28/05/2023 23:53

I wish I hadn’t googled Totu 😢

Extremely common on TikTok because they have no interest in stopping them and they can hide behind a faceless profile. They find each other on there too by using codes such as ‘cheese pizza’ when they are referring to ‘CP’ which we obviously call child exploitation. It’s a huge problem on TikTok.

I hope that little girl is saved one day. The look in her eyes and how she blatantly dissociates when they’re making her do things kills me every time. You should be able to see trauma on a child’s face like that

PleaseMakeItGoAway · 28/05/2023 23:58

Jesus, had no idea Tiktok was so bad I don't have it myself.

That's sickening, those poor children.

PleaseMakeItGoAway · 29/05/2023 00:01

It sounds like the woman who works in some "orphanage" basically pimps out a child? Wtf? Sad

How do they get away with that do the local police not do anything or is it that nobody is sure of the exact location of this child?

The world is fucking depressing.

JMSA · 29/05/2023 00:02

Awful Sad

Revoltingrhyme · 29/05/2023 00:04

@PleaseMakeItGoAway a common thing that these parents do with pages for their children too is making videos of them eating oversized food that is a certain erm shape. You get my drift. You’ll see those videos get millions of views and thousands of saves. They aren’t stupid, they know it’s paedophiles saving them but they are getting pay checks for the views so they keep doing it. Those videos then are screenshot and photoshopped with actual men’s genitalia instead of the food on the dark web. This is happening every day.

I share these things I’ve learned so I hopefully can alert some of you to how critical it is to be careful with what goes online from your children

There is speculation that the men who make videos visiting the orphanage are in fact assaulting her. That little girl and other kids from the orphanage often are videoed with bruising on their lips - which is a sign of sexual assault.

The Internet and beyond is full of weirdos. Children shouldn't have to live in a world like this.
