Christ! Was this under a washing up bowl? 🤢

shellyleppard · 28/05/2023 17:40

Did this come from inside the drain or just under the washing up bowl

Noticed a bit of a wiff, checked MN for "cleaning stinky kitchen sink tips", unscrewed the actual plughole out of the sink and tada! No wonder it was reeking.

DP's dealing with it, he's got a stronger stomach. Definitely a keeper.
And if he does a good job, the half sink probably needs doing too.

It's not really an AIBU, but, I wouldn't go on Four In a Bed any time soon.

Apparently this trend has caused all sorts of leaks. You will need to put silicone around the waste when you put it back together.

It looked clean looking into it, I only discovered the horror that awaited by taking it apart.

Is it a b&q sink? Mine is a nightmare to keep clean (literally need a screwdriver to clean the plug 😭) compared other sinks Ive had in the past

ResidentOfMankyBitchville · 28/05/2023 18:10

Can't remember where I got it, but that's something else added to the "must regularly clean" list.
The smell is absolutely atrocious.
