I don't like cards

Does anyone else feel like this ?

I find it really sad to have to throw them out eventually.

I mentioned this to MIL who seemed offended that I would throw her cards out.

While I was out, she somehow found some cards she'd given us for birthday and put them on display. Only the cards from her and her side of the family.. I am not sure how she found them. But they must have been in a kitchen cupboard tucked away in a bunch. These were just recent birthday cards.

I found it really strange. I later asked her and she said she couldn't remember how they got there.

Yes I think cards are a waste of time money and resources. A pointless gesture just like flowers

Yeah, I totally agree. I never bother with them.

I agree with you. I think cards will have had their day in the next few years.

Unless there is a special handwritten personal message in them longer than a sentence, off to the recycling or compost bin they go.

I don’t really see the point of buying a card only to put “xoxo list of family members”.

Saying that, I do buy them for children’s birthday parties due to putting a voucher in and for DH’s side because they are a card family.
