Beyond angry with employer's client

Sorry for NC, I did just in case this is identifying.

I am beyond angry. At work I am an employee, in a reasonably senior role in a small company. I have quite a bit of autonomy and leverage to make decisions and act on them.

A client, we'll call Anne is a spoilt brat. I've dealt with her and her family for three years with patience, understanding and professionalism. Today she's been so unbelievably rude to me. She's crossed a line. My boss, the Director, has apologised for something we haven't done to try and keep the peace.

Clearly, I know my position and I can't undermine the boss. I have to keep quiet. I want to rip a piece out of her, but I will just stay quiet.

Sorry. That is so frustrating. Its very invalidating. You've a right to be spitting feathers. It also means that your boss is allowing his staff to be mistreated, not great leadership is it

Thanks so much, exactly how I feel. Invalidated and taken advantage of.

Its shit @Crossandupset so now Anne and her family know all they have to do is kick off and they'll get apologies and pandering!

Oh so true! Their behaviour is appalling and my boss keeps going back for more purely from greed and because he doesn’t have to deal with them.
