Can't Stop Ruminating

I recently had a disagreement with someone at my child's school. I've reached out and been conciliatory but they haven't really responded or met me halfway. I know I just need to let it go, because I've done all I can to try and rectify it but I can't seem to stop thinking about it. I replay the interactions over and over in my mind to the point where I can't concentrate on other things. I need to move past this but I can't.

Your perception of it all will be different to theirs. It doesn't matter how much you think about it, they probably still view things in a way you've not thought of. You can't know that because you aren't them. You will probably never understand it x

It's not so much thinking about it from their point of view as it is beating myself up over my part in it all. I'm extremely self critical.

But how do you know your part in it was problematic? It might not be. It might be on them.
