To ask the milkman for replacement milk?

We get our milk delivered by a milkman. We get glass bottles with foil lids.

Last week seagulls discovered our milk and attacked the foil lids to get to it. We emailed the milkman and put out a big orange bucket to cover the bottles and stop the seagulls from getting at them.

This morning the bucket has been untouched and all three bottles have been opened by the seagulls.

AIBU to ask for replacement milk?

@ttacticall I've seen this one www.milkandmore.co.uk/Household/Milk-%26-More-Milk-Minder/p/73911 on doorsteps around here but mine sit in an open milk bottle holder (no pesky seagulls here).

To add insult to injury, the seagulls also shat in the bucket.

Sorry, I do know it's not funny, but thank you for giving me my first smile of the day!

You are welcome. 😊

No answer from milkman today. Apparently they are moving premises and their phones are on the blink. Will try again tomorrow.

Here is the note for judgement. It looks like the gulls had a good go at it as well:

That, to me, is the perfect note @Paq. Succinct. No mucking about. Perhaps your milkman is like your DH though and prefers a bit of detail😆

We used to have an issue with the milkman leaving our bottom gate open (despite the "close gate" sign) while he drove up the drive and delivered milk and then only closing it when he left. Cue: cows escaping multiple times. Cows can spot an open gate a mile away. In the end we had to stop using the milkman.

I think the seagulls moved the bucket!

So DH got through to the milkman and there's now a note on our file. Bucket was successfully deployed this morning but DD did see a seagull having a go at it and they are clever bastards so we'll have to keep an eye on it.

DH didn't ask for a refund and I suspect he just drank the milk 🤢 I wasn't here for part of the week so I just stayed out of it.
