To be annoyed at 2 month wait?

Long story short, my son is four next month. He can't walk or talk. He has had test after test, with no answers. Last year he had triome genetic testing and yesterday I got a letter saying the results are back...but I won't find out what they are for another two months! Earliest appointment they will give me apparently. I am trying to be patient but it's actually been 4 years of waiting for an answer and I can't think about anything else now I know the results are back.

I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds so tough that you've been waiting so long. I'm sorry if this sounds blunt but if it's bad news, would it feel worse to receive it by letter/phone? If not and you wouldn't mind this, could you call them and explain the issue and just say it would help your stress levels etc to have the bottom line by phone in advance of the appointment?

Thank you, I did call them and ask for a telephone call, it went from a 3 month wait to a 2 month wait because of that. I know there must be lots of parents out there waiting for answers too, hence the wait for myself. It's just hard knowing the results are back but not knowing what they are.
