Sorry I’m not good at things socially. A colleague was describing someone and said she they are bigger than us put together.

Horrible way to describe someone but is she also saying I’m big?

No, she was saying the other person is big.

SparklyBlackKitten · 17/05/2023 23:38

I dont understand the sentence?

Bargellobitch · 17/05/2023 23:40

It was rude. But not to you. It was rude to the person they were describing.

Dixiechickonhols · 17/05/2023 23:41

It’s an old fashioned saying. No she’s not saying you are overweight. She’s saying the person she was describing is overweight. Not appropriate at work.

Heartsnrainbows · 17/05/2023 23:41

No she is saying that the other person on their own is the size of 2 people, you and her. Not a very nice thing to say but the insult was to the other person, not to you.

No. Don't join in with this though.

Regardless of what was said I’m not a child.

Your colleague isn't either

@fajitaaa didn't accuse you of being a child? Confused

As for 'bigger than us put together', I don't understand how anyone could take a different meaning to that.
