Haven in October/November

Hello! Now I know km being unreasonable posting here but didnt get any replies in the UK Travel section and we are looking to book a holiday tonight!

We are looking at going back to Haven in the October half term. I get 2 weeks off (school holidays) so looking to go in the second week, which will be around the 30th October until 3rd November. Do all the parks still have entertainment on and the arcades and things open then? I didn't even think of this but someone asked when we were talking about it!

Thanks 😊

Yes we often go Halloween weekend and the children love it, the entertainment is generally Halloween themed around that time. It closes very shortly after that for the winter but the parks are in full service when I’ve been. The seaside towns are not always fully open tho if your thinking of leaving the park.

That's great, thank you. Will be looking at going back to the Lake District as we loved it. We will be there over Halloween so that will be nice!

we stayed at the Lakeland Haven last year in the second week of our October half term - it was great! we didn’t use the pool/entertainment as pretty much just used the van as a base for the week. we did go to the arcade and do a pedalo on the lake. we went up on Halloween evening after trick or treating at home and noticed a lot of the vans had pumpkins on the steps etc.

Fab, that's really helpful thank you! What was the weather like? We did a pedalo a couple of weekends ago there and it was so hard work 🤣

@IndiaRose22 Weather was ok - mixed as you’d expect for the time of year. i think one day it was lashing it down with insane winds then the rest of the time quite sunny. i quite like it when it’s chucking it down though - makes the caravan feel even cosier! Park was very quiet - we got upgraded to a lake view caravan which was a nice bonus!

I love going at that time of year. You won’t regret it! All the entertainment and arcades will still be open, yes. I love the coziness in the caravan and the autumnal feel at the caravan park. It’s a different vibe to when you go during the summer. Plus there will be Halloween stuff going on too.
