DC playing out?

I have very fond memories of playing out , on my bike and fresh rural air. I'm very lucky to live in a rural village all their friends live a few doors away and play out. Apparently its bad to let your DC do this and I should be organising playdates or they play in the garden.

DC will be off to secondary school soon and will be required to get a 20 minute bus ride there and back. Doubting my parenting choices.

YABU It's bad to let your DC play out.

YANBU It's a good thing let them play!

says who? And why would you listen?

Mine play out. With rules and limits, but they do. I don't give a shite who thinks its bad.

Just let him play out, he deserves that

You should make your life choices based on your own experiences

Once you start worrying about what others think and living your life how they want you to well then you are screwed imo

You make your own decision based on your child, their friends, where you live. At some point he has to have some independence but it is your assessment when that is.
