So a person I work with told a lie about a name I called her on a work night out. complete lie she spoke to me today and admitted it! Anyway my issue is with this. on the night out- I overheard her in the bathroom cubicle
Beside me lying blatantly about me to another colleague let’s call her X. I said ‘I can hear you I absolutely did not say that’. So today X (the colleague that was listening to the lie about me) said that I was banging on the door of the cubicle and cursing, saying that I didn’t call anyone a name. I was obviously annoyed as it was a lie behind my back!

However I didn’t curse and I 100 percent didn’t bang on the door. This is the bit that annoyed me as she was saying oh that it was awful fo here someone bang on the door etc! I said it’s been dealt with. However, now I’m thinking do I go back tomorrow and tell her I absolutely was not banging on the door? Or just let it go because she obviously believes I was. Any advice welcome I’m so upset.

Just leave it and don't go on any more nights out with them.

Disengage. Don’t give people like that any time or headspace.
