Can you eat Stilton when pregnant?

I’ve always thought you can’t eat blue cheese when pregnant so spent the whole of my first pregnancy avoiding it. I’m now pregnant again and have just been told by a friend that Stilton is fine to eat. Is it? I’d love to have some but don’t want to harm my baby.

I've looked on the NHS guidance and it seems to conflict, on one section it says Stilton is fine, on the next it says avoid any blue veined cheese unless cooked. Which is it?

I ate it if that’s any help.

It’s soft blue cheeses you can’t have. Stilton is fine as it’s hard and you don’t need to cook it. I practically lived off it when pregnant!!
