The UK tax take is the the highest it has ever been yet we still don’t have enough money. In the meantime, large numbers of organisations we use day to day off shore profits through odd routes such as expensive franchise costs to daughter companies or expensive loans at exorbitant interest back to Lichtenstein or Gibraltar. Am I being unreasonable thinking that everyone in the UK should take more care and work out where that profit from that cup of coffee bought is actually going or where that profit from that care home is remitted to. In the meantime staff have to have their earnings increased by universal credit funded by the tax payer. Don’t we all need to do our homework more?
