Over the past week/10 days, I have had some classic pregnancy symptoms, nausea, strange cramping, heightened sense of smell, tiredness, quite a lot of thick heavy white discharge (sorry TMI) sensitive nipples, as well as a few others.....and crucially, my period is late, my cycle varies by a few days each month, but according to my app, I am now 5 days late.

I have taken two pregnancy tests (one three days ago, one two days ago) both negative. Has anyone had negative tests and actually been pregnant? What else could it be if it isn't?

If you have had a delayed ovulation then just prior to your period starting it can feel a bit like pregnancy symptoms. In general though, for the overwhelming majority of women, if your hcg hormone is high enough for symptoms then it’s high enough to show on a test. It’s very unlikely two tests are going to be wrong if you are this symptomatic and late.

Test again in another 5 days. If your cycle varies, you need to wait. l hope you get the result you want!

I mean you could be pregnant and have ovulated later. If you have varying cycles you can’t really say you’re 5 days late.
But generally if you are pregnant enough to be experiencing symptoms like nausea, tiredness, sore boobs etc then you would be far enough along to get a positive test so it’s likely it’s unrelated.
