Laser gum reshaping

Questiontellme · 13/05/2023 15:24

Posted on chat but not had any responses and in fretting about having the above done now.

If you’ve had it talk to me. I’m having the gum line of one tooth done next Weds.

What’s the recovery like?

What did it look like immediately and in the days after, if it looked ‘bad’ how many days before you could comfortably do something social with strangers say?

Pain levels after?

Any issues with recovery?

If you exercise train regularly did the pain affect this? When could you go back to it?

Google seems to say minimal aftercare and heals quickly. I imagine it would be fine in a couple of days as mouth stuff usually heals fast and there's no stitches or open wounds as such
I guess your gums might be a bit tender but if it's only one spot then probably be fine with some painkillers for a day

Posted too soon!
I had a back tooth removed and was only off work for one day, exercised the day after and was fine and laser is a lot less invasive

Just go with how you feel, if it's too sore then do low impact exercise or just have a day going for a walk or doing some yoga

I had this along with veneers. My gums look amazing now.
I used something called gangigel after which helped. I won't lie, it was a bit painful but i had pretty much my entire top set of teeth done so recovery time was longer and took maybe a couple of weeks. For just one tooth I'd say it would heal in a few days.

It didn't look bad. Perhaps a little blue or purple around the teeth for a short time like bruising etc. I did eat soft foods for a couple of weeks after, but as I say I'd had veneers as well so had sensitivity too. I'm sure you will be fine.
