I work every Friday and Saturday night, and DH works Monday to Friday. I work a day during the week but I am mainly at home during the week looking after our daughter, our pets and the house. I’m a carer and took a person I look after to a gig last night and didn’t get home until after 2 o’clock in the morning. I’d been going since 7.30am non stop taking DD to her morning group, walked dog, tidied house then off to work. I would usually work 10pm-8am, and will be doing that shift tonight. My husband took our daughter this morning as I was tired due to the late night, and I didn’t get up until 10.30am. We had a birthday party to go to at noon so upon waking I asked him to walk the dog while I watched our daughter and got ready, and he said I was taking the piss still being in my dressing gown. He says he’s tired which I appreciate but he chooses to stay up really late playing his Xbox. I know that’s his free time to relax but find it kind of jarring when he’s biting my head off for being tired.

I don't get it, why does it matter if you're in your dressing gown in your own home?

Who put him in charge of what you wear in your own home? Jog on matey!

Anyone who dared to challenge my dressing gown usage would be out the door!

He said it’s very annoying to get bossed about by someone in their dressing gown. I just wanted him to walk her before we went to the party. I mean, I could have gotten up earlier to do it myself but I was tired from working
