To think if you're told to return something...

you should indeed get the refund?

Bought some items from a well known online retailer. Got ill and subsequently missed the return window.

Messaged the company who said no problem to return for refund anyway, and generated a new return label for me. Next day did the faff of going to the closest store that offered this specific carrier, and sent it back.

Email today - rejected return due to being outside the time frame.

Spoke to two online agents (first chat got cut off) who told me to wait to recieve the items and then take "next steps". When I tried to clarify what this means they could not say.

I'm guessing I won't be seeing that refund! To be clear I completely understand if you miss the return window, you're not entitled to anything, but it's the fact they told me it was fine that irks me Grin

Track down the message saying you could return, screenshot it and send it to the company.

So annoyingly there's no way of me getting that because it's a live chat system and you have to actually manually press save if you want a copy (will be doing that from now on!)

However their return labels automatically expire if you miss the return window so I would hope that I had a valid one regenerated for me (specfically for these items) would be proof enough
