Coffee question

I'm a bit boring with coffee. Usually order a latte or an americano with milk. So essentially just a white coffee either way. I'm wanting to try some syrups or something a bit different but I don't know what to ask for and I don't want to look daft.

If I ordered an americano with a shot of hazelnut would that be appropriate? Please send any other recommendations my way!

Mocha if you like chocolate. Or try what you normally like but iced.

Do the syrups make them really calorific?

Why not look at the menu on a chain website and see what you fancy? They have nutritional info also

Hi op, syrups are usually served with milkier drinks, so would go well in your latte.

at Starbucks and most other chain coffee shops they have sugar free versions of the most popular syrup flavours, so they add no calories at all.

I think the most popular flavours are usually vanilla or caramel, followed by hazelnut.

to order that I’d ask for a sugar free vanilla latte. Enjoy!

Or of course a sugar free hazelnut latte if it’s hazelnut you fancy

Quite a lot of coffeeshops have popular ones on the menu or their own unique recipe drinks made with the syrups so you could start with them and see if you like it.

Be warned they are pretty sweet, I don't know what the calorie content is but they taste like pure sugar. I get one from Nero and ask them to put only half shots of the syrup in

Always find syrups v. disappointing :( I usually have a mocha or a flat white :)

Why? If you like a white coffee, drink white coffee. Maybe try a flat white as something in the middle of a white americano and a latte. Syrup is just trying to disguise the taste of coffee for people who don’t really like it.

If you truly enjoy the flavor of coffee, skip the syrups!

I got an Irish creme latte by accident once (they gave me someone else's order) and it was disgusting!
