Sitting Duck

Trying to keep this slightly vague. My ex husband was abusive to myself and our children. There is a no contact order regarding the children.

He is now a homeless man with poor mental health and drug dependency.
He doesn't know where we live but knows which town and has come looking for us previously.
Now hears the point I'm struggling with. He has recently moved to the next town. A town I sometimes visit and an easy bus journey to my town. He will I'm sure at some point come looking for us.
I feel like a sitting duck. Do I take the bull by its horns and visit my neighbouring town and get seeing him over and done with? I have no intentions of causing any trouble or anything. Just struggle with the anticipation of seeing him. Only issues is he is very unpredictable.

I would definitely avoid unless there's some important reason why you need to go there.

I would avoid as much as is humanly possible. And I'd even think about moving if I could.

Perhaps, if you do decide to go, don't go alone and meet in town.

Thank you. No I have no reason to go. I just hate it hanging over me. This isn't the first time he's moved local and I'm sure it won't be the last! I just wanted to take the anticipation out of it. Also wanted to get a guage of how he reacted to me. As I'm sure he will come to my town and at that point he will see me with the kids. Which is obviously a much trickier situation.
It's such a bonkers situation

I would not try to find him .talk to police re your concern they might put a tag on your address so if he turns up they will respond immediately and for me this covered out and about in the town I lived.
