The tide is turning on two-faced tv stars

So says Rylan Clark

He claims some people in the industry aren’t nice and polite, like they portray themselves to be and behind the scenes they treat people badly…that people are starting to see through it now and all will be revealed…

Just remembered the scandal of Jeremy Kyle where some poor soul killed themselves becasie if the way they were treated in that show. ITV had to pull the programme and reschedule their morning, TM got an extra 30 mins. It’s very embarrassing for ITv that Ps issues have come to a head. They should have got rid of him when the runner issues were going on, instead of protecting him.

From what's been bandied about in the news TM ratings have tanked. The ITV boss Carolyn McCall needs to take her head out of her woke arse and get some new presenters for the whole of ITV. It's boring watching the same people over and over again. PS HW and Ant & Dec dominate.

Admittedly I don't watch TH (who the fuck does now there is streaming) but I've never understood the ITV obsession with the same 4/5 presenters on everything. I don't get it, is it because people love Holly or Ant & will watch them present anything even if it's shut?

I read a really interesting article a year or so ago about the "talent" at ITV.

IIRC PS's daughters are the agents for almost all the "stars" on ITV which is why the pool (pond) is so small. If you're not in with PS you're out of ITV.

I'll see if I can find it.

I googled Phillip S agent and it seems like most of the big tv stars have the same company

im not sure who owns the company but surely it’s not his daughters

So his daughter is assistant talent manager at the agency.

There’s no way she’d be allowed any serious control over people’s careers

It’s a business and that company clearly wants to make a profit and I bet Schofield has given them a good return over the years!!!

Actually his other daughter is also the MD there.

Hmm this will be interesting as lots of the people schofield has feuded with are also represented there!

Schofield had an affair with a young runner on TM. He’d met the guy originally when he was about twelve and they remained in touch, Schofield then got him the job at TM when he finished school and moved down to London. They began a relationship soon after and he became Schofield ‘assistant’ on both TM and Dancing on Ice. Some time in late 2019 it all turned sour and Schofield had him removed from TM and all hell let loose. Allegedly he tried to sell his story to The Sun and this is why Schofield dramatically ‘came out’ in early 2020. Luckily for him just a few weeks later a global pandemic happened and the press lost interest in the story.

Anyway all of this was an open secret at TM and is allegedly the reason Ruth, Eamon and Rylan all left as they were so disgusted at the young runners treatment. You could argue that he was groomed. I personally feel that he was.

All of this is in the public domain. Just Google it. I’m not naming the runner as he appears to have moved on with his life and left television altogether to work in a normal profession.

I have never liked Phil . I had the misfortune to watch his whole ‘ coming out’ story on This Morning. His toe curling, snivelling performance gave me the rage as did Holly’s tone deaf , steadfast support of him.
This was all done in a cynical attempt to deflect attention from his ( allegedly) seedy behaviour. Phil is truly a nasty piece of work .
I for one am glad that he will eventually get his comeuppance. Nasty piece of work

I like Rylan . He is a grafter and doesn’t take things for granted

I think PS is contemptible. He allegedly groomed and had a relationship with a very young man. If what we read is true, that relationship was clearly an abuse of power.

In full knowledge of this HW supported him and abetted his pathetic “coming out” nonsense which was cringeworthy to watch.
She can distance herself all she likes at this point but the fact is that she colluded in the cover up and in my opinion she’s as bad as he is.

Her simpering, giggling, infantile persona is completely out of step with how women should want to be seen. It’s excruciating. She’s clearly fighting for her professional life but I would happily never see either of them again.

Don’t think Charlotte a church would be impressed by Chris Moyles - why is he still on TV too? (She reported how on Radio 1 he ‘offered to take her virginity when she turned 16’).

I don't think it'll be that quick but his contract is supposedly up this summer so I'm reckoning it won't be renewed after his long summer break.

TM ratings are down but they haven't tanked. In fact they are up on last year. What things has Carolyn done specifically for you to call her woke? (As if that's a slur... are you perchance Dan Wootton?)

Carolyn has been a very good chief executive and is well liked at ITV. She has brought in some really sound initiatives and the business is doing well, especially considering the competition from streaming and ad revenue going down over the pandemic (although viewing figures, especially for the daytime shows that stayed on air, were up by quite a bit during this time). ITV refocused its business model years ago and makes lots of programmes for other channels (including the BBC) like Line of Duty and Queer Eye. If a business doing well amidst real competition and tricky financial times means being woke then thank the lord for her wokeness. She's streets better than the last one.

I don't disagree about the need for some new blood in the presenting family. There's some really great talent out there that could do with a break.

Agree they can’t do the show on Monday.
I expect ITV will say something tomorrow to stop all the speculation. Maybe they’ll even take them both off but say Holly will return in a week.

It seems unlikely that HW didn’t know that PS’s brother was to go on trial charged with child sex offences. IMO she knew but the implication that PS knew but didn’t report it, is something she worries will tarnish her and damage her career.

I don’t have strong views about her one way or the other but even if she didn’t know about the brother there’s no way she didn’t know about the runner. We have all seen the pictures of him approaching her. If Ruth and Eamon knew, she knew. Little bit late for her to try and reclaim the moral high ground isn’t it?!

If she knew anything about this then her career should be over too. Too little too late in my opinion.
