What could these bugs be?

I have a big phobia of bugs so it’s stressing me out but yesterday I had a can of pop and I put it down for a bit and there was a tiny white bug crawling on it. No bigger than a a grain of salt. So tiny I almost didn’t see it but noticed it moving. Today the same has happened and there was three or four on my can. What could they be?

Flour mites? Do you have a pantry or food storage area? We recently had weevils and realised they had got into the bird seed we were storing, once we found the “nest” and moved it outside we didn’t see anymore in the house.

Fruit flies?

Flour mites are a common nuisance but harmless, you might have to clean your food cupboards. You can put flours and grains well wrapped up in the freezer for 48 hours when you buy them, it kills any bugs and the eggs.

Thank you. I’ve been doing some googling and I believe they are mould mites. I live in a private rental that has problems with damp so I think that’s the problem
