To ask for more cheese?

We went out for lunch to a chain pizza restaurant, and when my pizza arrived it had no cheese at all in the centre section, and a smattering around the outer ring.

I wanted to (politely) ask if it could be re-made with more cheese, but my husband told me not to be silly, and 'it's fine'. We don't go out often, and I just wanted to enjoy the food I was paying for, but he seemed to think it wasn't acceptable to ask for a pizza with a fair amount of cheese on it.

So, which of us is being unreasonable?

We had pizza at Prezzo a few days ago, really lovely but they are around 18 for a large one, with starters and a desert came to about 60. I thought it was worth it though as the service was excellent. I have made pizza in the past and it’s always a disappointment.

Your husband sound have piped down and let you complain… it’s not an unreasonable complaint!

It would have been fine to ask I think, as long as you were polite about it. It may be that's how it is "supposed to be", but you can still ask them for extra cheese. You're the one eating it after all.

Pizza express pizzas tend to have blobs of mozzarella rather than completely covered, I love them like that though

do you not think OP might have mentioned if her standard pepperoni pizza came with a salad filled hole in the middle?

Well yes I'm not that thick. I suggested they might have put on the topping round the edge as they do when making one of these before realising the mistake and cooking it as a normal one.
