I feel so sorry for him. It would eat me up if I had to watch Camilla smiling and waving in the spotlight. She tormented his mother and wife. She (and his dad of course) spoiled his childhood.

She wasn't rolling her eyes, she can't move her head because of the crown. She was doing her best to look at the crowds, the flying displays and telling her grandsons to behave and we're to stand.

I agree that she does look genuinely happy and more importantly it's very genuine affection and pride between her and Charles.

I think Diana was a very insecure woman who sought validation through the attention of men, the public and the media. It's desperately sad really. Not that this in any way excuses her taregting the husbands of other women. It's clear that the marriage was a disaster and probably doomed and no-one probably acted completely honourably.

Even so- Charles and Camilla have been together now for a long while and seem happy and it's probably time for people to just let them get on with it.

You'd think, but some people side-eyes OP and the many cats lady just won't let it go. Charles and Camilla have been married for 18 years. That's three more year than he and Diana were officially wed, but they actually legally separated after 11. Yet 18 years counts for nothing, apparently.

I’m sure for both William and Harry these occasions are and many others that are public and private are painful for them getting married becoming a dad and so on

I don't know where you dug that out of because I agree that it's time to leave the past behind. Camilla in particular has withstood a horrendous amount of criticism, and shouldered it. Charles and Diana were a terrible mismatch and it was never going to work.

Diana has been dead for years , get over it . The only reason she ever got so much legend stuff was because she was beautiful, if she looked like the back ass of Bognor she wouldn't be so revered . She was a very damaged soul who clearly had a lot of issues .
Charles has found happiness with the woman he loves and it's lasted the test of time .

I think you may have a point though Sudeko in that it was very noticeable that he was himself because he was surrounded by couples.
