To want to be TAKEN out?

I have been with my partner around a year now. When we first met he told me his car was currently being repaired. Turns out he owned one of these boy racer "hobby" type cars that very rarely run properly, he even admitted that it spent more time in the garage than on the road.

On our first date he hired a car for the occasion and we went out for a nice meal etc...but ever since it has been me that has to drive us everywhere.

We go out for a meal, I drive. We go out for a drink, I drive. We go to cinema, I drive...seaside...I drive...sunday drive...I drive...

I can never have a drink, never fully relax and I'm starting to feel a bit like a taxi. Its like one weekend I took him to Curry's and he bought a computer game, we got home and he found it on the net at PC world cheaper so expected me to run him back to currys to take the game back and then to PC world to get the other one.

AIBU to get annoyed at him for not having a reliable car? I just want to be taken out for a change, not have to drive him everywhere.

put him on your insurance and take turns -it won't even cost that much
