To need a job right now

I used to work in the media industry but was made redundant two months ago. I’ve been applying for other jobs ever since but have gotten nowhere. It’s now reached the point where we need income ASAP to pay the rent, as our savings are running out. What sort of jobs can I apply for and start work/get paid very quickly?

I’m shit at job interviews and everything seems so competitive. I’m terrified I just won’t get another job.

Takeaway delivery, for an actual business rather than for Uber/Just East, bar work, retail.
DBS checks for care work/NHS are taking up to 8 weeks at the moment.

Cleaners are often paid weekly or fortnightly and there are lots of vacancies around.

Ours often has loads of immediate roles available either delivery driving, cleaning, or caring. Some small local pubs/restaurants might pay weekly with a quick start, plus tips on the night.

Oh and I meant to say good luck. I was in a similar position a few years ago and remember how stressful and awful it was. I eventually got a temp role through an agency which has lead into great(ish relatively speaking) things
