"She's really starting to look her age"

Go on the social media page of any celebrity over the age of about 35+ and several people will have commented this.
Really not sure what's wrong with looking your age, it's nothing to be ashamed of at all.
I hate all this shaming of women because they dare to get older.

I know. It's ridiculous. I think what makes it worse is that men don't seem to be scrutinised the same way. Pierce Brosnan and his wife are a prime example.

You're right, men are really not judged in the same manner and probably never will be. I know a lot of men worry about balding, but general ageing, I really don't think so.

I’m a similar age. However, most of my friends have had a lot of work done - Botox, fillers, lips and teeth. They look more fresh faced than me and, well, younger. It’s annoying because I feel like it’s distorting how we all look and I’m left behind. Still, I’m going to rock my grey hair and natural look.

Due to the amount of Botox/fillers, hair transplants/extensions etc that so many people are using nowadays, it seems people who actually look their age are judged more harshly for it.

It's always said with such obvious glee too.

Yes it's hateful. So much criticism of wives of celebrities who are deemed not as good looking as their husbands. The shit that the wife of Clive Owen used to get was horrendous.

Yes Tina does young very young, but I'm sure in another decade or so she'll fall victim to the comments too.

But what happens as the body ages if a person has had a lot of work done? Might not be such a good look then.

Madonna gets criticised for too much cosmetic work, Sarah Jessica Parker get criticised for having no work done and looking her age. People can never win.
